Women's Guild meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00. Sister Spirit, a ritual-based feminist spirituality group meets on the Friday nearest the full moon.

Our Quilters meet most Wednesday mornings throughout the year.

In addition, on the other Wednesdays throughout the month we are trying something new for 2009. At 7:00 in a cozy corner of the Sunday School Hall all interested folks are invited to an hour of prayer, simple singing and chant with a quasi-Taize atmosphere.

You are welcome - warmly invited - eagerly awaited.

ST. PETER'S FOOD PANTRY

On behalf of the ecumenical community, St. Peter's hosts the Community Food Pantry for this northern part of Posey County. Many churches contribute food, staff and financial support to its operation. The Food Pantry is open to any Posey Country resident who experiences a need the second and fourth Monday of each month, from 9-11:00 and 4:00 - 6:00.

ANGEL FOOD MINISTRY

Another ministry to assist neighbors to stretch their family food dollars. Menus can be found at the Angel Food Ministry site. $30 buys about $65 worth of food. Special packages are offered each month usually including fresh fruit and vegetables or extra meat, for the cost of $20. Orders are due to the church by the second Sunday of each month with deliveru on the third of fourth Saturday.

INTERNET ACCESS AVAILABLE

In response to the needs of many neighbors seeking to navigate our Indiana Social Services network, we will soon have three computers available for you to apply for food stamps, TANF, Social Security and other state related services. The computer lab will be open regularly during the morning session of each food pantry and at least one other day during the week. We hope to expand this to include children and youth who need internet access for homework assignments. Call the church for more information.
